Aero Equipement has been acquired by Supratec

Supratec has acquired Aero Equipement, a distributor of aeronautical parts with a focus on Asian markets. This acquisition will enable Aero Equipement to leverage Supratec’s resources and expertise to further strengthen its presence in these markets.

Aero Equipement is a distributor of aerospace equipment and spare parts, specializing in helicopter parts. The company operates with a profitable, low-risk trading business model, free from exposure to stock or gross margin risk. Aero Equipement offers a large catalog of over 30,000 spare parts from more than 50 suppliers. Its customer base is primarily in Asia, and the company enjoys privileged access to the Chinese and Southeast Asian markets, particularly within the AVIC group.

Founded in 1962 and based in the Paris region, the Supratec group specializes in the design, production and distribution of industrial products. The company is a key player in the aerospace, electronics and automotive sectors, as well as the broader French industrial landscape. Supratec’s customers include some of the largest names in the industry, such as Airbus, Safran, Thalès, Dassault Aviation, Air France Industries, Valeo, Enedis, Saint-Gobain, Somfy, Renault and Stellantis. The group operates four subsidiaries: Supratec Enomax (industrial components and equipment), Supratec Syneo (bonding and dispensing systems), Supraero (onboard aeronautical components) and Supratec Jmd (marking and traceability solutions).

Oaklins’ team in France acted as the lead advisor to the Aero Equipment management team throughout the sale process, including preparation, due diligence, outreach, and parallel negotiations with potential buyers, and supported them through to closing. The approach to potential buyers worldwide was facilitated by local Oaklins teams. As a result of its in-depth knowledge of the aerospace sector, Oaklins’ team in France helped increase competition in the sale process by securing competing offers for the business.
