Bill Sorenson

Principal

Bill is a principal at Heritage Capital Group, Oaklins’ member firm in Jacksonville and Savannah. His primary focus is conducting valuation, strategic planning and value enhancement analysis for economic valuations and mergers and acquisitions. Bill has performed hundreds of valuations for clients in multiple industries, including construction, manufacturing, wholesale equipment, professional service and distribution. He is a certified expert in Lean management and has facilitated over 125 Lean-based value enhancement projects resulting in improvements for his clients’ processes for marketing and sales, operations, manufacturing, project management, cash flow management and internal support. Recent transactions include the sale of Versatrim to Saw Mill Capital and the sale of Ghiotto & Associates to SAM Companies.

Prior to joining Heritage, Bill served as a director of management consulting services for an engineering and management services contractor. He also served as a manager for the middle-market consulting division of Deloitte & Touche, LLP. Bill received his BBA from Virginia Tech and his MBA, with a concentration in operations and management information systems, from Purdue University. He was elected to be president of the Rotary Club of Jacksonville, one of the oldest clubs in the world, for the 2021–2022 year. Bill is also a member of the national advisory board for the National Association of Women Business Owners. Additionally, Bill serves as a judge for the Florida Manufacturers Association Manufacturer of the Year Award and is a panelist for the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce’s ATHENA Program, which supports women entrepreneurs.
