Paul Keenan

Principal

Paul is the executive chairman and co-founder of Capnua, Oaklins’ member firm in Ireland. With over 40 years’ professional experience, he specializes in providing corporate finance advice to entrepreneurs and large privately-owned businesses on MBOs, mergers & acquisitions and restructurings. He particularly enjoys working with strong ambitious entrepreneurs who have started businesses, such as Workhuman, Openet, Chill and Home Store + More, and has acted on the MBOs of Mercury Engineering, Elverys and Fonua. Paul is also one of the founders of new ventures, such as Activate Capital, a direct lending fund for home building, and Flyefit, a chain of premium low-cost gyms, and has advised some of Ireland’s leading family companies, such as Sisk, McMahons Building Providers and Gowans.

Prior to founding Capnua, Paul was managing partner at BDO Ireland from 2004–2008, during which time the firm achieved annual double-digit fee growth and was voted one of the Top 50 Best Places to Work for in Ireland.
