Sameer is a director at VantagePoint, Oaklins’ member firm in India. He is responsible for transaction origination and placement across various sectors, mainly in logistics, hospitality and manufacturing. M&A deals he has been involved in include the sale of an operating five-star hotel, growth capital for a new age company into managed living and structured debt for a logistics business.

Sameer joined the firm in 2023. Previously, he had worked at Oxyzo Financial, a subsidiary of Ofbusiness, in the emerging corporate team responsible for debt funding for new age companies. He had also worked at Morgan Stanley in the energy team for three years and Ladderup, a boutique investment bank, for over six years. Sameer qualified as a chartered account with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and as a chartered financial analyst with the CFA Institute. He also has a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from Kolkata University.
