Tom Van de Meirssche

Tom is a managing director at Oaklins KBC Securities in Belgium and has extensive experience in advising entrepreneurs, shareholders and investors in the various aspects of growth and value creation. With more than 14 years’ experience, Tom also leads the human resources team in Europe. Notable transactions he advised on include the sale of Pears to Timing (Groupe Proman), the sale of ATG Europe to Pauwels Consulting, the sale of Blue Group to Glowi, the sale of Tax Consult to Moore Belgium, the acquisition of Impact by Talentus, the sale of Pragmatics to House of Talents and the sale of Advipro to Normec. Other transactions he has worked on include the acquisition of Soret by Vanheede Environment Group, Creafund’s investment in Sitra and subsequent acquisition of Ricotto, the acquisition of Light&Living by BlueGem, the acquisition of Van Bogaert by Belgian Pork Group, the sale of Rima to Teugels and the sale of Eutraco to private investors.
Prior to joining the firm in 2017, Tom spent five years as an M&A advisor at Deloitte. Between 2010 and 2012, he was part of an early stage startup focused on easing the infrastructure management process with a data center. Tom has a master’s in commercial engineering from the University of Ghent and obtained a postgraduate qualification in corporate finance from the Catholic University of Leuven (KUL), Belgium.
