Valle Frío has been acquired by Orizon

Agroindustrial Valle Frío S.A. has sold a 65% stake of Valle Frío SpA to Orizon S.A.

Valle Frío exports frozen fruit, especially berries, to various international markets. It offers products in retail format, designed and prepared according to the requirements of each customer: fruit mix – weight and assortment, fruit cutting and formatting and packaging format and design.

Orizon is a company of the Empresas Copec group, one of the largest business conglomerates in South America. It manufactures and markets food for human consumption and industrial applications from natural resources.

Agroindustrial Valle Frío S.A. is a family-owned company founded in 1972 by Juan Sebastián Moreno Urzúa. It is one of the largest exporters of frozen fruit in Chile. The administrative offices, the main production plant and most of its productive land are located in Romeral (Curicó), Maule Region.

Oaklins’ team in Chile acted as advisor to Agroindustrial Valle Frío in the sale of 65% of its frozen fruit business.
