Don Wiggins

Don is the CEO of Heritage Capital Group, Oaklins’ member firm in Jacksonville and Savannah. He also leads Oaklins’ logistics and distribution teams, providing strategic consulting, exit advice, and sell-side and buy-side transaction services to logistics clients, including distribution, storage, trucking, moving, rail service providers, local delivery and logistics technology. He has completed significant transactions for a wide variety of logistics companies with both strategic acquirors and private equity buyers. In addition, he has provided strategic advice, valuation and related services to more than 200 logistics companies over more than 30 years. Recent transactions include the sale of Sandar Industries to Ryeco, the sale of Atlas Greenhouse to Mangrove Equity Partners and the sale of Illingworth Engineering Company to Thermal Tech.

Don has over 25 years of university teaching experience, including freshman through PhD level courses in corporate finance, investments and all areas of accounting at Clemson University and the University of North Florida, where he is professor emeritus of accounting and finance. He received his BBA and MBA degrees from Georgia Southern University and a DBA degree from Louisiana Tech University. He is a frequent lecturer and author on valuation and M&A topics.
