Referencia is the spin-off of Refinancia’s specialty finance unit. With 50 employees, the company offers three main products: Li$to, Fenalcheque and loan guarantees. Li$to's point of sale credits finances an underserved consumer credit market in Colombia. Fenalcheque guarantees post-dated checks to retailers, educational and financial institutions. Loan guarantees are offered to financial institutions on certain types of loans such as education financing. Referencia has an exclusive access to Colombia’s largest merchant network. Private customers benefit from having competitive financing without using up credit card limits while professionals are provided with alternative financing that allows them to increase sales.
