Joris Gijsbers

Senior Associate

Joris is a senior associate at Oaklins Netherlands and is part of the M&A team. He has been involved in several (cross-border) M&A transactions, with the majority in renewable energy, but also in business support services, human resources, creative services and the consumer & retail segment. Notable deals include the sales of 365zon to Soltech, Tenten Solar to Smile Invest, Future Fuels to Comfort Energy, Curious Kids to Blos Kinderopvang, Pragmatics to World of Talens and Total Design to M80 Partners. Joris has also worked on several debt deals, such as the management buy-out of Goossens and the recapitalization of Lead Healthcare and Circuit Zandvoort.

Joris joined Oaklins Netherlands in 2019 following an internship. Prior to this, he had completed an internship at Emendo Capital. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in business economics and his master’s in finance from Tilburg University, and was an exchange student at the Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou, China.
