Alan Dunne

Alan is a partner at Capnua, Oaklins’ member firm in Ireland. He specializes in all areas of M&A, private equity and structured finance, with a strong focus on technology and construction & engineering services. Alan has worked on a number of large corporate transactions, including the sale of Heat Merchants to Wolsely UK, a portfolio company of Clayton, Dubilier & Rice; the sale of BDS Vending to Coca-Cola HBC; the sale of Openet to Amdocs plc for US$180 million; an investment in Workhuman valued at US$1.2 billion; the sale of iCabbi to RCI Banque, a division of Renault; the sale of Digital Marketing Institute to Spectrum Equity; the sale of Fitzpatrick Lifestyle Hotels to MHL Hotel Collection; the MBO of Mercury Engineering; the sale of 4 Aces Wholesale to BWG Foods; and the acquisition of Rilta Environmental by Exponent Private Equity. Alan was also part of the team that developed the concept for Activate Capital, a direct lending fund for residential development, raising €500 million in debt & equity from the Irish Strategic Investment Fund and KKR Private Equity.

Alan is a fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland, having trained at BDO in Dublin. He also has a BEng (Hons), majoring in building services engineering.
