Librify Inc. has been acquired by Scribd
The private shareholders of Librify Inc. have sold the company to Scribd. The sale has been finalized as an asset deal and the financial details have not been disclosed. The sale of Librify is part of an ongoing consolidation in the dynamic book subscription space.
Librify is a social reading and retail platform, which allows readers to access bestsellers, new releases and book club favorites, all while sharing their reading experience with friends.
Scribd is the premier subscription reading service with more than 500,000 titles, including New York Times bestsellers, classics and reader favorites in every genre. Scribd's subscriptions service allows readers to have unlimited access to more than 500,000 books from nearly 1,000 publishers such as Harper Collins, Simon & Schuster, Open Road Media, Lonely Planet, National Geographic, Rosetta, Workman, and Wiley, among others.
