The independent Directors of Renewable Energy Group Limited (REG) have prepared an assessment of the offer made by BlackRock and their recommendation to the company's shareholders.

REG was an AIM-listed, UK-focused multi-divisional renewables company operating 111MW of power in the UK, including 11 wind projects in Cambridgeshire, Cornwall, County Durham, Yorkshire, Lancashire, Cumbria and Gwynedd.

BlackRock is one of the world's preeminent asset management firms

Oaklins Smith & Williamson, based in the UK, acted as financial advisor to the independent Directors in relation to their assessment of the offer and recommendation to shareholders.

E-distribuzione S.p.A. has signed an agreement with A2A S.p.A. for the sale to the latter of 90% of the capital of a newly incorporated vehicle, to which electricity distribution activities in some municipalities of Lombardy will be contributed.
