Goffredo Frisina

Managing Director

Goffredo is a managing director at Oaklins Italy and leads its financial institutions team within the investment banking division. He oversees the origination and execution of M&A transactions, and supports ECM, S&SS and DCM colleagues in their origination activities. He has a deep knowledge of the Italian financial industry (banks, insurers, asset managers and asset gatherers as well as leasing, factoring and consumer credit players), having participated in M&A deals worth a total of +US$60 billion (buy-side, sell-side, mergers, demergers, public tenders and partnerships) and subordinated debt issuance and capital increases worth a total value of more than US$30 billion. Notable deals he has advised on include most of the mergers between Italian banks (popolari and savings banks), several bancassurance and asset management distribution agreements and large capital increases by Italian banks. He also has expertise in real estate asset management, having advised on the merger between three industry players. More recently, he advised CDP Equity on the merger between Nexi, SIA and Nets, and Anthilia Capital Partners SGR on the partnership and investment agreements with Banco Desio. Notable clients he has recently worked with include Rina Group and Anima SGR.

Goffredo joined Oaklins Italy in 2021. Previously, he was the FIG director within the corporate finance team at Mediobanca between 2000 and 2014, a senior banker in the FIPS coverage team at Natixis from 2014 to 2019 and finally head of FIG within investment banking at Banca Akros.
