Blair Agnew

Blair is a partner at Oaklins E. Canada and is based in Toronto. He has more than 25 years of experience in advising clients on mergers & acquisitions and corporate finance. In addition to traditional buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions and capital raising activities, he has extensive experience in providing independent valuations and fairness opinions for boards of directors of public companies. Blair’s key areas of expertise are in business services, telecommunications services, financial services, consumer products and building products. His clients have ranged from large multinational organizations to small- and mid-cap Canadian public companies and privately-owned enterprises. Recent transactions he has advised on include the sale of Bruce Telecom to Windsor Private Capital and the sale of Skytec Rentals to Simplex Equipment Rental.

Prior to joining Oaklins E. Canada, Blair was a partner at Alexander Capital Group, a Toronto-based boutique investment bank, and before that a managing director in BMO Capital Markets’ M&A group. His professional advisory career began in London, UK, where he worked in EY’s corporate finance practice. Blair has an MA in Economics & Accountancy from the University of Dundee, Scotland, and he is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland.
