Paul Young

Senior Advisor

Paul is a senior advisor at Henslow, Oaklins’ member firm in Australia. He has over 30 years’ experience in providing independent domestic and cross-border corporate advisory services, including advice on takeovers, M&A transactions, capital raisings and initial public offerings to Australian and international clients. Clients have spanned a wide range of industries and have included listed, large family, entrepreneurially-led and cooperative/mutual organizations. Paul has advised on a number of significant and complex transactions, such as Magellan Petroleum’s merger via public company takeover and listing on NASDAQ, Opus Group on its scheme of arrangement and redomicile, and Maggie Beer on its divestment to Longtable Group (ASX:MBH).

Prior to founding advisory firm Baron Partners in 1987, which merged with Henslow in 2018, Paul was a director at Morgan Grenfell, an international merchant bank. He has a master’s in economics from Cambridge University and an advanced diploma in corporate finance. He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, and is a foundation fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
