Our analysis shows that valuations of publicly traded companies in the IM&C sector stabilized at 8.6x EV/EBITDA after reaching short-term highs in September. This indicates a more balanced perspective on valuations, while upside potential remains toward the median level of 9.4x EV/EBITDA.
In Q4 2024, the industry reported robust M&A activity, with 213 completed transactions despite ongoing global economic headwinds. Transactions focused on automation and digital transformation, aiming to boost efficiency and drive innovation.
Cross-border deals accounted for 55% of total transactions, highlighting sustained interest from international investors, notably in Asia and the U.S. Meanwhile, financial sponsors are increasingly influential, facilitating acquisitions with a clear long-term strategy.
