Leading Danish CMO sold to Brygge Partners

Pharma-Skan, an independent contract manufacturing organisation (CMO) and Skan-Medic, a manufacturer of OTC products, both operating as a joint entity, have been acquired by Brygge Partners. Oaklins’ team in Denmark was engaged by the owners of Pharma-Skan and Skan- Medic, as strategic and financial advisor.

Pharma-Skan is a Danish CMO that serves large corporations in the pharma- and life science industry. With a strong track-record of 45 years of consistent performance, they specialise in producing, filling and packaging mainly liquid and sterile manufactured pharmaceuticals and oral liquids, while also handling raw materials for human and veterinary applications.

Skan-Medic is a Danish manufacturer of a range of OTC creams/lotions, ointments, and other pharmacy-related products, including its patented Marselisborg Cream (skin lotion), sold to pharmacies in Denmark.

The product portfolio consists of a combination of private label products and contract work of a recurring nature for large international pharmaceutical companies, e.g. the patented potassium chloride oral solution, used to treat potassium deficit, surface disinfection ethanol product used for industrial cleaning, boar semen extenders etc. Operations are caried out in dedicated rooms for each stage of the process, including sterile manufacturing, galenic formulation, packaging, and quality control. Fully supported by an experienced organisation with deep industry knowledge.
