Imtech N.V. has acquired Qbranch
Imtech N.V. has acquired Qbranch as a Nordic platform in information and communication technology (ICT) for an undisclosed consideration.
This acquisition is Imtech's first step into the ICT market in Sweden and is part of the strategic growth plan for 2015 to build a strong ICT position in the Nordic region (Sweden, Norway and Finland). Imtech N.V. is one of Europe’s leading technology and service companies within electrical and mechanical engineering and ICT. Through the acquisitions of NVS, NEA and Sydtotal, Imtech has, during the past three years, built a market leading position in the Nordic region as a provider of services primarily in electrical engineering, automation and HVAC.
“The acquisition of Qbranch matches our ambition in several ways. Qbranch is one of Sweden’s most successful service providers in the ICT field, providing services such as private cloud technology, which fits well with Imtech’s core strategy. The acquisition marks the beginning of the implementation of our strategy to build a leading ICT position in the Nordic region,” said René van der Bruggen, CEO of Imtech.
Qbranch, founded in 1993, is an IT outsourcing company with related services focusing on mid-size companies. Qbranch offers IT management services. The company has a strong market position within its niche and is the key supplier of IT support services to many well known companies.
“With Imtech backing us up, we can combine local presence with international reach while also obtaining access to complementing services, competencies and deliveries. We now have the chance to build a pan-Nordic operation of Qbranch,” said Ulf Engerby, CEO and co-founder of Qbranch.
