NorKjemi AS has been acquired by Shield Group International
Shield Group International has acquired NorKjemi AS in what is Shield Group International’s second strategic acquisition in the Scandinavian market. Financial details have not been disclosed.
Established in 2005, NorKjemi is the leading legionella control and energy optimization company in Norway, currently with service agreements for approximately 500 buildings. NorKjemi has grown significantly and has invested heavily in the development of digital tools as well as quality-driven services and expertise that are unique in the industry. This transaction provides NorKjemi with increased knowledge of the European market, and additional competences and expertise. On the other hand, Shield Group International gains market share and new services in the field of energy optimization.
Shield Group International Shield Group International, part of the Dutch company ACTA, operates in the field of testing, inspection and consultancy (TIC) combined with education and e-services (data services) as well as risk and compliance management.
Oaklins' team in Norway was engaged as the M&A advisor to the shareholders of NorKjemi in connection with the sale of the company. Oaklins' team in the Netherlands assisted the Norwegian team identifying and contacting the ultimate buyer, Shield Group International.
