Olmix Group has acquired a controlling stake in Yes Sinergy Agroindustrial

Olmix Group, a global specialist of natural solutions for agriculture, has acquired a majority stake in Yes Sinergy Agroindustrial, a Brazilian biotech company specialized in natural additives for animal nutrition and welfare, from Aqua Capital.

Olmix is a global company specialized in developing, producing and distributing high-value biosourced solutions for livestock and crop farming. Thanks to its ranges of high-quality end-products and ingredients, Olmix is a preferred partner of farmers, distributors and farm supply manufacturers worldwide enabling smart and sustainable farming. Its animal care division develops innovative technologies in more than 50 countries to improve animal welfare and hygiene, reduce mycotoxin risks, improve digestive efficiency and boost animals’ natural defenses, while combining economic and environmental performance. Founded in France, Olmix has 650 employees, generates US$175 million in annual revenues and operates eight industrial plants, including a biorefinery specialized in algae processing.

Yes Sinergy Agroindustrial is a Brazilian biotech company active on the national market and in approximately 40 countries across the Americas, Europe and Asia. The company focuses on developing and commercializing value-added animal feed additives, with the ambition of improving food safety and animal welfare while promoting sustainable development. Yes Sinergy’s portfolio includes natural antibiotic-free products based on sugar cane yeasts and organic chelated materials. Yes Sinergy serves all livestock species (ruminants, swine, poultry and aquatic organisms), as well as pets.

Aqua Capital is a Latin American private equity firm that manages investments in innovating, sustainable businesses across the agribusiness and food value chain.

One of Oaklins’ teams in Brazil acted as the exclusive buy-side advisor to Olmix Group, a portfolio company of French private equity firm Motion Equity Partners. The team in France supported the transaction in its early stages.
