Ghost has been acquired by Picture Shop

The private shareholders and founders of Ghost A/S have sold the company to Picture Shop.

Ghost is a Danish visual effects company (VFX) with more than 20 years of global experience within the field of state-of-the-art visual effects. The company has approximately 75 employees who deliver VFX services, mainly to Hollywood-based film and television production companies. It is one of the leading Nordic companies in the sector, with a remarkable track-record in Hollywood. Since 1999, Ghost has contributed to more than 60 films and television series, such as The Nun, Star Trek Discovery, Black Panther, The Last Jedi, Rogue One, The Walking Dead, Hercules, Harry Potter, Quantum of Solace, Traitor and Die Another Day.

Picture Shop is a post-production VFX company, and part of a group that includes Picture Head, Formosa Group, Finalé and The Farm. The group has offices in Hollywood, Los Angeles, Vancouver and the UK, and is owned by management together with the private equity firms Trive Capital and Five Crowns Capital.

Oaklins’ team in Denmark advised the owners of Ghost in this transaction in collaboration with the media and digital team at Oaklins Cavendish in the UK.
