Nikolai Lunde

Managing Partner

Nikolai is the managing partner at Oaklins Norway. His corporate finance experience covers strategic consulting, investment fund management and advising on M&A transactions since 1994. He has advised private and public businesses and investment companies in international transactions and deals involving most of the private equity funds active in the Nordic region. Nikolai has advised clients in a variety of industries, such as consumer & retail, building materials, energy, TMT, industrial machinery & equipment and construction & civil engineering. Notable clients include Byggmakker Handel AS, Kesko Corporation’s Norwegian DIY chain, on their acquisitions of Skattum Handel AS, Gipling AS and Carlsen Fritzøe Handel; Mestergruppen AS in its sale to Ferd Capital; and COOP Norge through the merger and demerger with COOP Norden.

Nikolai joined Oaklins Norway in 2008 having previously been head of transaction services at BDO, where he spent eight years. Prior to that, he spent several years managing both equity and fixed income portfolios, including a period at Krambo Corporation, an M&A boutique in San Francisco. Nikolai has a BSc degree from the University of Wyoming, an MBA in Finance from the Norwegian School of Economics and is a chartered financial analyst (CFA).
