Eliane Revestimentos Cerâmicos has been acquired by Mohawk Industries
The shareholders of Eliane Revestimentos Cerâmicos (Eliane) have sold the company to Mohawk Industries (Mohawk).
Eliane is one of the largest manufactures of ceramic tiles in Brazil, with a diversified portfolio of products, including wall and floor tiles, glazed and unglazed porcelain tiles and other specialty products. The company has four industrial facilities in Santa Catarina and one in Bahia, with a total production capacity of over 36 million m2 per year. The company’s products are distributed through more than 15,000 points of sale in Brazil and it is the largest exporter, with a presence in more than 80 countries.
Mohawk Industries is the largest manufacturer, distributor and marketer of ceramic tiles in the world, with a total production capacity of approximately 250 million m² per year and gross revenues of US$3.4 billion in this segment. Additionally, Mohawk is a leading global producer of carpets, laminate and sheet vinyl.
