Jerome Romano

Managing Director

Jerome is a managing director at TM Capital, one of Oaklins’ US member firms, and co-leads the firm’s leveraged finance and building products teams. He has completed a broad range of multi-faceted transactions for numerous public and private companies operating in diverse industries. His extensive experience enables him to specialize in complex cross-border assignments that combine his M&A, debt financing and restructuring expertise. Over his 22 years at TM Capital, Jerome has developed a particular focus advising companies in the building products, consumer products, industrial manufacturing, retail and restaurant sectors. Recent M&A experience includes advising Naumann Hobbs, a portfolio company of HCI Equity Partners, on an investment from Centerlane Partners, Consolidated Glass on its divestiture of its North American Specialty Glass business and Oldcastle Building Envelope on its divestiture of Antamex. Recent leveraged finance engagements include advising on a US$60 million refinancing for a consumer products company and, separately, a US$12 million financing for a growing consumer products company. He is also involved in advising private equity firms on raising credit to support the acquisition and growth of their portfolio companies.

Jerome has served as a member of the executive committee and board of the New York Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) for many years. He is a 2011 national winner of the M&A Advisor Top 40 Under 40 Award as well as a 2019 winner of ACG’s Meritorious Service Award. Jerome is a cum laude graduate of Georgetown University, where he earned a degree in business administration, with a double major in finance and management. He also studied at the London School of Economics.
